The Source Omega guarantee

We thank you for your purchase from Source Oméga Inc. Our guarantee has two parts:

1. If you are in an area that we serve and if you sign a maintenance contract with Source Omega:

a.. Your appliance includes a conditional 7-year warranty on refrigeration components and labor (e.g. the maintenance must be done by Source Omega), repairs at our workshop. We will pick up your unit, in the event of damage, and reinstall your repaired device, or a new device. As long as the device is under warranty, if a breakage occurs, it is our responsibility to repair your device, or replace it with another. If we decide to replace it, it will be guaranteed for the remaining warranty period since the purchase of the first device, and not since its installation date.

2. If you are in an area that we serve and you do not sign a maintenance contract with Source Omega: OR if you are in a remote area where we do not travel:

a. Source Omega recommends regular changing of filters, p. ex. the softener filter should be checked every 4 months and replaced at least once a year. The other two filters (sediment and carbon) must be changed once a year, by KS and KCB filters sold by Source Oméga, failing which this warranty will be voided. Therefore, your device will no longer be under warranty if, after 12 months, no Source Omega filter has been purchased.

b. As long as you respect this condition, e.g. ex. whether you order and change the 3 filters every year on the anniversary date, the device will have a 7-year warranty on refrigeration components and labor, repairs at our workshop. The unit must be sent to us at your expense and will be returned to you, after repair, at our expense. As long as the device is under warranty, if a breakage occurs, it is our responsibility to repair your device, or replace it with another. If we decide to replace it, it will be guaranteed for the remaining warranty period since the purchase of the first device and not since its installation date.

The softener filter is designed to retain limescale present in the water. If the softener filter is not changed according to our recommendations, and limescale deposits form, it will act as an insulator and cause the refrigeration components to work harder, making them more prone to breakage. Refrigeration efficiency will be reduced and there will therefore be less cold water. Limescale can clog the spout tap mechanism: water will come out of the unit endlessly and cause the refrigeration to run non-stop.

As for the other two filters, they retain sediment suspended in the water as well as the bad taste and odor of chlorine (carbon filter). They ensure good water quality is maintained. To avoid large proliferations of bacteria, the three filters must be replaced annually, or following a boil water notice from the municipality, with original KS, KA and KCP filters. If you do the maintenance yourself, you must purchase the 3 replacement filters and the batteries for the water leak detector from Source Oméga, once a year, for the 7-year warranty to be maintained. If the three filters are not replaced annually, as recommended, Source Omega assumes no responsibility if your employees become ill due to bacteria.

To ensure that the filters are changed periodically, Source Oméga will send you a letter every 4 months, asking you to carry out the softener filter efficiency test, and, if necessary, to send us an order form for purchasing a replacement softener filter. In addition, once a year, on the anniversary of the purchase of your device, we will send you a letter to order the three replacement filters as well as the batteries for the water leak detector.

If no order is placed after the first 12 months, there will no longer be any guarantee on refrigeration components or labor.

Products that are defective for any other reason, at the discretion of Source Omega, such as improper installation, failure to follow recommended installation procedures and operating instructions, negligence, willful damage, improper use or vandalism, accidental damage, modification, alteration, or repair by a person other than Source Omega, are not covered by this warranty.
